David,

Wish I could give you details, but I just bought this rig already
assembled. I AM, in fact, trying to locate a set of the special
sidecar triple trees that Dave Richardson mentions in Guzziology.
He says they are NLA, but were an available item, so I'm hoping
someone out there has a set sitting around not being used. They
are supposed to reduce the trail significantly, which would help
a lot in the handling. Running the Metzler K-Block tires front and
back on the Ambo. They are specially made for sidecars, and
have a squared-off tread much like a car tire.

The rig is a 1970 Ambassador with a Watsonian Monza chair.
Bought it from Jim Knaup at Encore Performance & Fabrication
in Prescott, AZ. Saw it when I went to the AZ rally, and HAD to
have it!

Needs a lot of TLC at the moment, but I have had a lot of fun with
it already. I don't have a digital camera or a scanner, but will try
to borrow one and get some pictures to post.

HTH

I am thinking about a sidecar on an Ambo, can you fill in the details of
your indtallation and even better some pic's if you can? What about
handling? Did you do any special front end work? Did you change to
different tires?
