With my Ambo being converted to 16" rims, I have to use a floor jack to get
the bike on the center stand. I don't even leave the stand on the bike, I
only replace it temporarily to do work on it. I'm glad to see I'm not the
only one ;-)

Phew. It's rather encouraging to hear I'm not the only one who has had a
problem with this center stand stuff. I was beginning to have serious
doubts about myself.

I couldn't resist I haven't figured out the trick yet, so I use a
floor
jack to get the damn thing in the air and pull the stand down. I
figured I
would use the side stand in public :-)

Hi Richard,
It is also helpful if you have saddlebags to push rearward with
your leg.
Lubricate the pivot bolts to make sure the centerstand works
smoothly.

I finallly figured the trick.

Step on the very bottom (back) of the stand. The part that
touches the
ground. If you do that, get a good grip on the crash bars and
get your
weight right the bike should roll up on the stand fairly easily.

would like to ask one question? How in the heck can you put it
on the
centerstand? Is there a trick that is learned?
