With my Ambo being converted to 16" rims, I have to use a floor jack to get
the bike on the center stand. I don't even leave the stand on the bike, I
only replace it temporarily to do work on it. I'm glad to see I'm not the
only one ;-)

Phew. It's rather encouraging to hear I'm not the only one who has had a
problem with this center stand stuff. I was beginning to have serious
doubts about myself.

Hi Richard,
I couldn't resist I haven't figured out the trick yet, so I use a
floor
jack to get the damn thing in the air and pull the stand down. I
figured I
would use the side stand in public :-)

I finallly figured the trick.
Step on the very bottom (back) of the stand. The part thatget yourground. If you do that, get a good grip on the crash bars andfor me Iweight right the bike should roll up on the stand fairly easily.
