Hi Ian
I had two different kinds of head gaskets installed . One that looked black and
had no metal in it . The other had copper in it. Both worked well but the black
no copper, rubbed the push rods. Do you think I should use them with 0.20 rubbed
off?
TIA
TED

Hi Ted,
I used Permatex high temp RTV gasket maker on the exhaust threads. Seemes to
work fine. I'm not sure what the other's would think about this.
Why was the push rod rubbing in the first place?

Hi guys, got a problem while changing heads on my Ambo. The exhaust
thread were hooped! Bought some used heads off E bay, while changing
them fond two different head gaskets installed. The push rods were
rubbing on the right side. Are the rods hollow or solid metal?
Difference in material loss is orig. 0.355, worst rubbed area 0.338. Is
that enough to worry about? Also can I use anti seize compound on the
exhaust threads?
Thanks Ted
