I've noticed on mine there is about1/4" maybe more of space between the
petcock
body and the tank, it looks like there is one big gasket or maybe some kind
of sealer somebody put on. Is this normal?

Almost forgot, the gasket between the petcock body and the tank can be a
source of leaks also. I read somewhere that you can install o rings
instead. I guess you can find them at an auto parts store.

Subject: cleaning petcocks/fuel line
Hi all,
One of my petcocks is leaking and the other must be clogged up pretty
good, because when I switch over to it, I'm getting no flow. I figure if
needcan clean out that one this weekend, I will be OK until I can get a hold
of another one to replace the leaker. So, are there any tips/suggestions
for doing this? Also, I want to have some fuel lines on hand incase I
Ito replace any of those old hoses when I take it all apart. What should
use? I need something that is readily available, as I will be doing this
on Wednesday. Thanks.
Doni
