Hi,

On my list......just VIN, year of bike, name of person and location
(town,state). Nothing fancy.

One person (whose name is not in my list now...by the way) was worried that
someone might look him up and try to steal his bike.

I think that this is a bit of an over reaction. I really doubt that a would
be thief, after hearing about a fellow in whereverville in whatever state
with an Loopframe, would travel all the way to try to steal the bike. More
likely it would be someone who saw the bike on the driveway as he drove by
and decided he wanted to take it. I was at a neighbour's party the other day
and a fellow (whom I have never met but lives around the corner) came up to
me and said "boy you sure do have some nice looking bikes". Obviously he
didn't get my bikes off the list but saw them in the driveway.

So having said all that I doubt that having the serial number, name and
location would be a risk to anyone out there. Certainly isn't to me. I was
more concerned about some commercial concern bugging people. That likely
wouldn't happen either.

All in all....I began this quest because I had a genuine interest of how
many Loops were out there and where they were located. I will always be
tracking the numbers and have a list. Not much info comes from it other than
seeing all the bikes listed (only 70 now) and knowing that I'm not the only
Loopframer out there :-)

Sorry to make this so long but with 12 inches of snow outside (and no hack
on the bike) I don't have much else to do :-)

Ciao....Ian

I would be more worried about evil than commercial use of the list. What
fields of information would be public? Owner, Vin, Model, Location, Email
address? Leave out location (or just use state or providence) and email
address
There is a general owners list at
http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/1449/GLFrames.html
<http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/1449/GLFrames.html>
Of course it supplies rather sketchy information and no VIN numbers, but
has
 links and email addresses.
