Spent a few hours with my scanner last night, trying to convert pictures
my '71 Ambassador to some sort of usable electronic format. No luck. Will_________________________________________________________________
try again tonight.
In the meantime, perhaps someone can answer a question that is of no
particular importance, but I've been curious about for a long time:
Is there any rhyme or reason as to which bikes got flip open gas caps, and
which got screw-offs?
Most of the Ambos and Eldos that I've seen have the flip-up style gas cap,
but mine has a twist cap. (I don't know if the cap that was on mine when I
got it was original, but it was quite plain and agricultural looking. I'm
now using a suitably Italian looking cap from a Fiat Spyder.) BTW, late
model H-D caps also fit, but need to be vented.
Thanks in advance,
