Hi,
Well I think I found the culprit on the left side and it isn't a
fouled plug. Damn intermittent plug wire I think. I looked in the
pan once found some shiny stuff but seemed to be the normal particles
found in Guzzi oil. I would bite it and put new cylinders on but I am
cheap and want to keep it original as possable. The compression is
near 150 psi, maybe I am over paranoide of peeling chrome.

Is there any way you can tell the condition of the chrome without
pulling
the head?
Are there other indicators?

Rick,
I have a 69 Ambo 750cc and I have had a fouling starboard
cylinder ever
since I bought my bike. Got some wear of the chrome inside.
Guys have
 been
advising me here on the list. I plan to try to replace valve
guides and
grind valves first. If that doesn't work I will go ahead with a
Nikasil
 piston kit. Bob Hawkes

28 Feb is my birthday :-) I was thinking about ordering new
jets
 slides
and needles along with the tune up stuff. I am starting to
get a lot of

spark plugs fowling out on the left cylinder also, I kinda
wonder if the

 chrome is giving in.

That's what I would do...they can't be that expensive.

A little too late for me to send you the jets as a Christmas
