I was wondering if it could be that or the throw out bearing. Thing sucks
it is going to be a long while before I can rip it apart. I was looking
forward to a couple more nice rides this summer.

Rick,
Maybe clutch plates? Since you will need to pull the tranny to have a look
at this situation you will get a chance to look at the plates
you have to open up the tranny.no

Hi,
Well now that I am on the road with my V700, after the bike warms upafter about 4 miles when I pull in the clutch lever I can feel a metal
clunking sensation and here what sounds like metal flopping around in
hastransmission. I know I will need to pull the tranny but if any body
costhadthis problem before maybe give me some ideas on the problem and the
doesn'ttohave it repaired. I guess I should add when the bike is cold it
make the noise, listening with a screwdriver all sounds normal.
Thanks,
Rick
