Yeah, I'm not too bummed about putting the money and effort into the
Nikasils. It sure does enhance the value of the bike. Say, how much is a
running Guzzi with new Nikasils compared to a not running Guzzi with new
Nikasils??!! :>(

No Sir! Putting the new jugs on your bikes was required. If I remember
right
 you had one good cylinder and one bad. You saved yourself a bunch of
messing
 around in the future......unless of course you forget to put oil in the
bike! :-)

I think that having two well balanced cylinders is important to get the
bike
 running smoothly. I think there is some data on what the allowable
difference in the compressions for each cylinder should be.

Wait a second, you may be dumb but I'm dumber. Remember, I put a Nikasil
kit into my Ambo. to correct a problem that changing jet sizes would have
cured!!! Yeah, money just grows on trees here in Rochester. Bob
