Can anyone suggest the best way to insert the shift mechanism into the back
of the tranny so you can get ALL the gears. What is the best gear to have it
in? How should the teeth on the shift shaft be aligned to the gear on the
shift drum? You guys know where I am going with this. The tranny was
shifting fine before I removed the mechanism to replace the all to popular
spring. Now it seems I don't get all my gears. I have 1st, neutral, second
and sometimes it feels like 3rd but it's possible it might be lost too. 4th
just seems to be lost out there somewhere in lost gear land. Need some help
here as the weather is going to be great here this weekend and I want to
ride.
