Rich,
The first Loop I saw was an Eldo. Really I didn't have much of a clue about
the models....all I knew is that I had to have one :-)
I just ended up locating and buying Ambos because that what was out there at
the time.
Can't say I mind either way...I am just happy that I have the bikes. They
are truly wonderous machines with magical powers....whether they are running
like a top or sitting in pieces in the garage :-)
Regards....Ian

Dead on as usual Ian. Before I bought my Ambassador I only wanted anis
Eldorado. But in the year of looking I had found that the Ambassador
appealed to me more in its own little ways. As stated the rear drive unit
a thing of beauty compared to the newer one and the single speedo with theit
simple polished housing has its own understated elegance. Sure it would be
nice to have a fresh balanced, blueprinted 1000 cc lump in it but somehow
doesn't matter when your pulling 70 down your favorite road and the exhaust
is singing and the engine is in one of it's 'sweet' spots. Gotta like it!
