Cheers to that, used to be able to do that. Now with the new house I got the
attitude of better safe than sorry. Your right though , thieves are thieves
and locks just keep honest men out.

I would think deterrance is the key. Thieves are thieves, they're going
to steal something. Make it a pain to take your stuff, and they'll
bother the next guy. This is the idea behind the lock gizmo you put on
the steering wheel of your car, right?
Dang, that's a cynical attitude.
FWIW, my guzzis rest unlocked, in an unlocked garage. That's your
midwest advantage.
