snap on wrenches are the biz. the 6 sided box end will shift stuff you
wouldn't believe.
their hex wrenches (allen key) are pish however and appear to be made of
chocolate. recent screwdrivers are not much better.

I have two Snap-On wrenches, 13mm and 10mm. I grab them first before mySnap-On
Craftsman. I like Craftsman, and I also have King Dick tools (note the
plural, no off color jokes please) and there is no comparison. The
difference is palpable. Snap-On beats both.
As an aside, when we were flush (before three kids) my wife had the
guy come to our door for my birthday. Wish I had bought more wrenchesalso
instead of some of the fluff stuff.

generate much needed cash. Compare your toolkit to what SnapOn has
offered (http://buy.snapon.com/catalog/search.ASP?PartNo=CYCLESET1) and
you will see that your LoopFrame is simply a vintage cash cow!

Pay particular notice to how well the items listed by SnapOn are the
most useful for 99% of the bikes on the road....
I just thought I'd through some kindling on this thread :).
Once upon a time, I was a mechanic at a car dealership. I started with
Craftsman tools. Snapon tools were VERY expensive. The MAC tool guy
thecame to the shop.
I occasionally borrowed some tools of varying brands from teamates in
toshop. IMO, Snapon tools are also far superior to most other brands. I
could mention some of the nit-picky differences for anyone who is happy
argue.
I don't know how many times I've heard people say "Snapon? they're
ridiculous. Craftsman has liftetime garauntee - same tool!" - NOT
Are they worth the extra money?
For the amount I tool around today? definately not.
As a full time mechanic? most of the time, yes.
