Thanks for the kind words, guys! The pictures do a good job of covering
up some flaws, but really it cleaned up pretty good. It's amazing what
some rubbing compound and elbow grease can do. I won't be entering any
bike shows with this one, but it is great for an everyday rider. I'll
probably keep this one rough and ready. When I do the LAPD Eldo, I'll do
a more proper restoration.
The seat is a generic Harley button tufted and diamond pleated springer.
I bought it complete with the pillion pad for $50 off Ebay. I did a farm
boy fabrication job with some scrap iron and the arc welder and now I got
a place to sit. It looks pretty good, but it ain't too awful comfortable.
I like the spots too. Thanks again. I was gonna save 'em for the Eldo,
but I got too excited. Guess I'll have to get another set.
It's running pretty good, and I guess I'll just learn to love the
whining.
