I, too, would like to chime in, in favor of Franz in
Philly. I know he doesn't work on the loopframes much
(but can when he wants to!), but he has given me
valuable advice from time to time, and has been fair
about parts. His prices are not as cheep as some other
places in WI and CA, but he will look at my parts and
tell me if they are shot or not. He isn't real
sociable, but he is honest.

So Keith, while he may not be the solution to your
current predicament, I think you may find him helpful
in other situations in the future.

Hey Andy, I called them a few months ago while trying
to find a new mechanic and they told me they don't
work on loops. I was inquiring about the oil leak
between the cases at the time when he told me this,
then told me it would be $1000-$2000 to do that type
of work (engine removal) which I gather is there way
of keeping loops away from their shop for
maintenance.
