Subject: Found Guzzi in garbage
Arrived home from work yesterday afternoon and my wife said to callmy
friend ,Mike . I returned the call to see what was up. "Theres a Guzzimissing
at the curb in the trash down in Detroit" Mike said . I asked the
diections and called my son ,Keith to give a hand loading it. We made
the half hour trip and sure enough there it was . A 1976 V-1000
only the tank and side covers. We made a quick load ,as quick as youcan
load a 600 lb Guzzi with both wheels locked by rusty rotors ! Got thenext
beast home and knocked off the front rotors ,gotta get the rear of
. It will be a lot easier to move with the wheels turning .Ambo
If I've heard Tom say it once I've heard a hundred times how his
was one step out of the junkyard when he got it.
Now I have one that was IN THE GARBAGE ! It didn't cost two thousand
bucks either ! The plan is to put the 1998 Bassa 1100 along with the
late 5 speed and rear drive in this one. MIke, the friend who told me
about this one has dibbs on the engine . He wants to put it on a
pedastal in his living room as an object of art.
Stay tuned
