Is it really going to be worth it to bother? With your description, it
sounds like you'll need new cylinders. In that case, the only advantage
to freeing the pistons is to recover the con rods. You may want to take
a look at them to assess their condition and whether it's worth
recovering them.
You might also be considering relining the cylinders (the original's had
a chrome plating on the inside- undoubtedly it's gone). I've heard
mixed reviews on relining with iron liners. Alternatively, Gilardoni
sells cylinder/piston kits- available at MGcycle or MotoGuzziclassics.
I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your bike as it progresses!
Good luck on it. The participants on this list are invaluable.

Cheers,
Jason

Speakin of which, anybody got a home concoction(sp?) that works good for
freeing the pistons from the cylinders? Doesn't hafta do miracles, just
has
to free things up so i can get it apart.

Thanx in advance
