Look on the data plate on the steering head. That will tell you what
month it was built and for what model year. I've never seen a 1974
model that wasn't either 4LS- or disc-equipped.

This has me confused, as the PO said it came with 2LS drum brake. Maybe
it got swapped out at one time, who knows. I have a nice round one so
thats what I'm going to stay with.

Square for the disc-brakers; round or square for the 4LSers.
GFSo Loopers, what is correct for a 74 Eldo. Round or square? A square
one
came with the bike, so I assume it is the correct one but it doesn't
have a good base. I have a NOS square lens and a nicely powder
coated
and complete round taillight. The other thing I need is a clear
picture
of where the front brake switch mounts for a disc brake setup.
