I believe this is very commom with our bikes. It has happened to me, and
I have two other fuse boards with at least one melted terminal.
That is why I think that most police bikes had a new fuse block mounted
into one of the boxes behind the battery covers. I have a bike with the
conversion and know of a couple others. It also makes it MUCH easier to
change a fuse.
If you are going to rewire a loop, you may want to consider this
upgrade..
