From what I have read the later ambo's (late 70-71) share the
same heads as
the eldo's. The early ambo's had the heads similar to the V700
with smaller
valves.

Subject: Ambo/Eldo head compatibilityHey All,while
Was wondering if I could bolt on my Eldo heads from my Police projectI repair the head from the Ambo?looks
Intake valve was indeed bent. Needed to hammer the thing out. From theof it the valve could have fused to the guide (since there wassome brasstightly fixed to the valve stem) and that is what kept itopen...allowingthe piston to hit the valve and bend it. Not sure if this is the casecausing the
because the valve was closed when I pulled the head.
I'm still not sure which was first to go. The push rod bendingvalve to bend (see previous email explaining my theory) or vice versa. Abitof a mystery. Possible there was a lack of flow of oil to thetop end toobut there was lots of oil up top when I initially pulled the rockercovers.some
Not sure whether to look for something else. At any rate I am happy inways because I think the damage could have been considerably worse.
Ciao...Ian
