I knew a guy who had a set of the old factory metal ones on his v700. He
clamed they made the engine run hot, but were in Fla, so we need all the air
we can get.

Just scored a set of these on eBay and have a couple questions.
Has anyone ridden with a set of these fiberglass units?
If so;
Are they good winter protection?
Do they reduce cooling capacity too much to leave on during the summer
months?
