I would have been happy with 6500. Must have been the tire itself, bad
compound mix or something, but I think I will stick to Dunlop's for
whitewall and Avon's for regular blk. More $ but after that experience, I
will pay for the consistency.

I got about 6500 on the rear, 8000 on the front. Not bad, but not
exactly excellent.
Maxxis is the "upscale" cheng shin brand.
