Mike,
how about the Honda CX 500 sport? water cooled, shaft drive, looks vaguely guzzi-ish and is pretty user friendly for beginner. there are a lot of used one's still on the road. Of course use it or not the Falcone would be a lot more fun to work on, although the first time it went over would be much more painful for the meccanica.

OK, now that we got to mentioning our wish lists, I've
got the Ambo for riding solo and the Vert for two-up,
and am very happy with them, but I would also kinda
like...(sounds dangerous)... a Nouvo Falcon for my
wife and son to learn to ride on. I'd look for one for
sure if they were shaft drive, but I hate giving in
and buying another chain-drive bike. I always boast
about the shaftiness of my guzzis. I could get a V50,
but that is not as light as the Falcon, and I've heard
plenty of reservations expressed about the durability
of the early small-blocks. we'll probably end up with
a 25o Virago or something, eventually (sad to say).

-Mike (69 ambo, 77 vert)
