Horn wires are present and accounted for - this wire grounds the
terminal board in the headlight to the frame.

Sure it's not maybe the ground from the horn?

Hi Paul,
Not the battery ground cable, that's already done - this is a small (16
ga.?) wire that comes off of the harness near coil power and oil
pressure sender wires. Don't guess it really matters where as long as it
has a good ground to frame.

Most of the time the ground goes to one of the rear battery tray
bolts.From: Charlie Mullendore [mailto:c.d.mul-@att.net]Hi all,
Spent the day working on the wiring of the '72 Ambo 1000 Special and
it's going much better than expected. Since I got this bike as a rolling
basketcase, I didn't see where the ground wire is supposed to attach
to
the frame. The one I'm referring to is a stud terminal with an approx.
8mm hole. On my '69 this is grounded to the frame at the bolt holding
the cable splitter - is this the correct place? Thanks,
Charlie
