Got the SOB today from Steve B. He is on business travel so I figured
I'd ask some of the users of this bracket for some input. Looks like
she will work fine, but the bracket itself is a bit too wide where it
mates up to the linkage arm - it's a tight fit and binds as the linkage
arm moves up and down. Did any other users of this SOB experience the
same thing? Should I just grind down the SOB a bit on the bench
grinder? I tried opening up the linkage piece a bit which helped but I
need some more space in there for a smooth operation. Before I hit it
with the bench grinder, I wanted to be sure that was the right thing to
do. Also noticed that the SOB was sliding a bit on the gear selector
shaft. Could that be because of this binding? Or do I really need to
torque this mother down?
