Ok, learn something new everyday. I was always told it was the height and
that a 120/80 was shorter than a 120/90

Actually, in contrast to the width (represented in mm), the height is
represented as a percentage of the width (90%, in this case)...so a
110/90 will be shorter than a 120/90.

This past Saturday, I replaced my 120/90 front and rear with a 100/90
front and a 110/90 rear. I can't say whether or not the
shortened height will affect me much in the turns, yet. I kind of think
it won't be a problem for me due to my longer rear shocks...but I'll
have to wait and see.
