Depends on how close to the cylinder you are. Aircraft exhaust gas temp
generally runs from 950-1150 f, depending on how close the probe is to
the flange.
Too hot for paint, at any rate.

Does any one on the list know what temperature that the 850 or 1000 is
at the header pipes want to powder coat or paint so I need to know
how hot they get under normal operating
