Hi Patrick,
Yes, I removed both spark plugs and yes, I cranked the throttle wide
open.
It is a 750 Ambassador that has been sleeved with LA sleeves.
The compression numbers concern me, too. But I don't have comparison
data...only inklings that it should be up around 160???

Let me ask. Did you remove both spark plugs? Did you crank open the
throttle and hold it wide open throughout the test? Failing either of
these will yield lower and erratic results.
