Greg,

I have a tank that has the flat spot on one end to accomodate the flip
top gas cap. When I had this tank restored, Mark sent it back to me
with a repro/aftermarket police style cap. It fits fine, but when you
put it on, it does not turn to a stop point. You have to put it on and
center it by turning it about 1/4 turn (fit it onto the tank left and
right slots, then turn 1/4 turn left or right - if you turn it 1/2 way,
she will come off as you have then reached the slots on the tank neck
again). I have since re-installed my flip top gas cap for the vintage
look. If you want my police style cap, send me your address and I will
send it to you.

Hey Mark,

Have you mailed me the re-chromed flip style gas cap yet?

Hi Michael,

MG Cycle has a fuel tank cap, #4 here:http://www.mgcycle.com/fuel.html
Should work on tanks originally equipped with the lever-operated flip
cap as well as later twist off type. Ask Gordon or Rick to be sure.

Keep a watch on eBay, Wixom mounts sometimes come up separate from the
