OK, good to know. What I have now is only 2 wires running from the
Generator and they are both connected to the same contact. I will

Bob,

There should be two terminals on the generator. I believe if you look on
the
 back of the generator you will see a "DF" or "D+" on one of the terminals.

There will actually be three wires coming from the generator. The grey-red
wire runs to the "D+" terminal on the Voltage Regulator. From the same
terminal a red wire will run to the warning lamp on your speedo housing.

A white wire will run from the "DF" terminal to the voltage regulator.

Tim,
Just was looking at the generator on my Ambo tonight. I noticed two
wires
 
 hooked up to the generator but the two wires are connected to the same
contact. It that correct? I should think each wire would get connected
to
 
 it's own contact. Just curious, Bob
