For the chrome panels, I'd suggest going to one of those car customizing
shops that caters to a younger and/or (dare I say it?) ethnic clientel.
When they're not offering big, offset rims and tires for Nissans and
Hondas, they also offer chrome body cladding. It comes in sheets and has
an adhesive backing. They should be able to sell you a sheet of the
stuff and you can cut out panels in any shape you want.
