Yes, a fortune! Very very very rare.....only a handful in the entire worl=
d, priceless. Mine's for sale by the way. Take the average price of the l=
oopframe and multiply by 10. =20

Seriously, I am too attached to it now, even with a bad crank. The bike i=
s in pieces. I am regrinding the crank (throw pin only), as the rod beari=
ng started to go. Luckily, it didnt score the crankshaft too badly, and i=
t will need a regrind, only 10 thousandths under standard size. That mean=
s I can do that 3 more times. I determined the cause to be the sludge tra=
p, that was 3/4 full of crap and started sealing the oil passages of the =
crankshaft. I have never pulled the crankshaft before on any of these bik=
es, and found out it is quite easy. I even made a puller for the rear mai=
n bearing housing, with a piece of angle iron and parts of a gear puller.=
The machinest was impressed by the design and thickness of the main bear=
ings and said they looked ok. After looking at the crank and the tech par=
t of the manual, he said, 'man, that things built to last, isnt it?'.
Welcome to the club! I hope you ride it a lot and let everyone else see i=
t out on the road.

Scott

Your 69 Ambo should have a serial number of "A12xxx". Maybe "13xxx" with=
out
the "A" in front too. If the serial number is A12xxx then you will basica=
lly
have a V700 with 750 cylinders and 700 heads. Side covers should be the
older type (without the gills) and bigger headlight bucket. They are very
rare and worth a fortune...right Scott and Charlie? :-)

Best of luck with the new bird....Ian Adkins

Get your =
