Charlie,

As you have read....my bike is now damaged goods. Scratched saddle bags and
windshield. Bruised ego. She's only worth half a million to me now! :-) For
much of the ride I was apologizing to her....but she forgave me.....as long
as I give her a nice bubble bath tomorrow.

I totally agree with you that spending time with fellow Loopframe addicts
makes things great. I just wish this dam continent wasn't so big so we could
get more of us together.

I too am currently suffering from "Rally withdrawl". It's great to be home
and I am REALLY looking forward to sleeping in my bed tonight but I can't
help but want to go to another rally. When is the Md rally? Maybe Andy can
slip away. Cuz...if you ride I'll ride :-)

By the way....do you think you might be able to find a model number for the
alternator we saw on Mr.Peterson's bike? It will help if I head to the scrap
yard with that info.

OK...time for bed. Glad to hear you had a safe run home. Me too, but I
almost killed a Groundhog!

Thanks again for a great time everyone......Ian

Hi Gang,
As Dennis said the rally was a blast! I do think we had the newer bikes
out numbered, maybe we should email the Liskows and get an "official"
tally? It was really great to see everyone (what do you mean "put up
with you" Andy? I think it was the other way around!). Our own Ian
Adkins won "Oldest Bike" with his super rare and ultra valuable '69
"A-series" Ambassador.
Had an uneventful ride up and back (275 miles up and 325 back), the old
'69 ran like the locomotive it is. Only problem is I'm already going
into Loopframe withdrawal! Looking at three is just not enough!
I'm terrible with names - what was Mr. Peterson's first name ( the red
w/green frame "950" Eldo that had so many nice modifications)? As soon
as I finish out the roll, I'll have someone post pictures for all to see
and would like to give credit where it is due.
It really nice (as you all know) to talk to someone who has a clue about
why you like your V700/Ambo/Eldo so much. That's what made the rally
(and makes this list) so great! With all the "civilians" I talk to, it's
kind of like "If I have to explain, you'll never understand." I wish I
could make it to the National, but since it's not in the cards, maybe
I'll meet more of you at the VA, NC, OH or MD rallies (not to mention
Vintage M/C Days @ Mid-Ohio). Cheers,

Charlie
