I grow my own ring compressors...... Fingernails
I've compressors big clumsey things that just get in the way, and I realized
that by the time I get done foolin' around w/ the compressor I could've had
the job done. Esp. with Guzzi like Z(i think) said, the taper cyl. makes it
easy enough.

Good tool suppliers have this type of ring compressors. Mine is a KD #850H.

These tools have a wide variety of compression bands. Get the size which is
specific to the diameter of your pistons. Don't try to scrimp by matching a
wrong size band. You WILL break a ring.
