When I did Flame, she would not run decent, or idle right without them, put
them in, and smooth as silk! She had the round slide carbs at that time.

Dave,
I have a 69 Ambo with the 700 heads. I took the inserts out because I heard
that I didn't need them. The bike has run fine for the three years that I
have had the bike running but I think that I might put them back in to see
if there is a change in the bike's performance.
Any thoughts as to what I might expect? I figure with the narrower diameter
there will be a little faster airflow. Other than that I don't know what to
expect.
