At the local autoparts store I bought a rubber hold down (like a black
rubber dogbone.) and 2 10" j hooks for 10 bucks. I would suggest you go for
the 8" j hoocks as I had to cut off a couple inches to get the hooks to
clear the side covers. you can actually move the bike with the battery.

Joe,As for the speedo drive problem:The trans.in my Eldo.uses the inboard
speedo drive location,(not sure what year it is)I drilled a hole in the
battery tray and used a garden tractor battery mounted sideways.It will
just
clear the voltage regulator and K&N air filters,will not work with stock
air
box.You will have to fab a new holddown,easy with 1/4"allthread and
flatstock. Dave
