Chris,
That would be me and I highly reccommend shopping via the Net in Italy for
the Nikasil piston kit. Yes, it is way cheaper than getting them in the
USA. Bob Hawkes

I seem to remember a posting on here a while back where the guy ordered a
set of brand new Nikasil lined jugs and pistons from Teo Lamers in Italy
for
about $300-$400 or so. Took a few weeks to get here, but a very good
price.
If the exchange rate is favorable, I'd go that route.
Just my $.02

I have been posting about my "new" eldo, and how it won't start. After
pulling the head, I noticed that the previous owner must have replaced
the

piston, but the cylinder is very worn, and rings were broken, base gasket
torn, hence my compression problem I assume. (70psi, with throttle wide
open)

What are my options here? Since I am doing this, I will do both sides at
once, but being new I have no clue as to where to begin. I did speak
with

one of the Guzzi suppliers today who mentioned purchasing cylinders that
had
been re-chromed. He had a set with pistons. What about Nikasil (sp?)?
What

 about boring and lining?

Thanks for your opinion.
David
