I fixed the gas cap on mine using a sheet of that red ~1/8" thick
plumber's gasket. Disassemble the cap, cut the sheet to match the old
gasket, reassemble.
Both of the crusty gas caps in my pile have super hardened dried up old
black rubber gaskets. Are these still available? Also, I have two
alumininum and two chrome plated brass petcocks. Are the gaskets
available for either?
