your list:

Needle - K5, 2nd (middle) groove
 Slide - 60/3
Main jet - 140 (stock 135)
Pilot jet - 50 (stock 60)
Starter jet - 70
Atomiser - AB265

looks same as what i've got here in my LM & is stock for euro LM.

my own bike has gas flowed heads, RITA ignition & K & N's & runs fine on
this set up*. i use stock pilot jet (60).

*does run marginally better when using stock bell mouth intakes on carbs,
but generally K & N's are fitted for protection.

Hi all,
Fred's question and the great responses couldn't have come at a better
time.
I'm working on a customer's LeMans I carbs and boy are the float levels
way
off! That will definitely help with it's running problems, but I'd like
some
input on the jetting as well. Here's a comparison of what I have listed as
stock and what is currently in the carbs:
Needle - K5, 2nd (middle) groove
Slide - 60/3
Main jet - 140 (stock 135)
Pilot jet - 50 (stock 60)
Starter jet - 70
Atomiser - AB265

The heads have been ported and polished, the manifolds cut and
straightened,
K&N filters, a custom built exhaust with MAC mufflers and a Dyna ignition
firing car coils are installed. Seems to me with the mods it has, the
pilot
jets could have stayed stock without being too rich. Ideas?

While I'm already off topic, let me add that the above mentioned LeMans I
is
for sale. It's sporting a monoshock rear suspension, modified front forks
(supposedly with Marzocchi damping rods inside), custom-made fork brace
and
has been somewhat lightened (parts deemed unnecessary by the builder were
removed). Needs some TLC, owner is asking $3000. If anyone is interested,
I'll pass his number along to you. Thanks!

Charlie

Anyone know the correct float levels for the PHF 36 pumpers off a LeMans
1? The haynes book vaguely suggests 23.5mm, and Godfrey's website says
17-18mm.
