I got to chime in here, Stephen's right Keith, We all have to start
somewhere. I knew nothing about Guzzi when I bought mine, It was a cool
original M/C that I had to have. Sold a reliable (boring) early 90's
Yamaha to get it. The Yamaha was my only transport in AZ, then the loop
was my only transport when I got it. Granted it seems like I knew more
about M/C's than you( I was going to school for it) but that really
didn't help considering the Guzzi is more like a friggin' car. I knew
very little about cars, until I started having to fix the Ambo.
Look your riding a 30 year old M/C, You should know about it, know how
it works. If you want to ship the engine to Charlie or Andy that's fine,
at least you'll know what it took to get that far, but don't sell it. I
think if you do it yourself you'll get more out of riding it, and be a
jump ahead if it breaks on the side of the road.
You got the list, and phone #'s. Use 'em. With those things you have
access to parts, and information. That's about all you need.
So quit your crying and get to work!(kidding about the crying part)

to do this stuff, we all learned from others. Read a manual, ask
questions, take notes and pictures, clean and inspect parts as you
remove them and keep them organized.
