I think Dave Jackson has "retired" from the resto biz. I sent mine to
Mark at Moto Guzzi Classics, the second 5-speed I have sent him. UPS
was only about $30, including $500 insurance.

I had Dave Jackson (Junior's Restoration) go through my Ambo tranny,
he put a new layshaft in and did whatever needed to be done. I seem to
remember it was around $50-$60 labor, I sent him the parts.
He used to advertise in the MGNOC newsletter, haven't seen his ad for
a while. The last address I have for him was 35 W.741 Valley View Rd.
Dundee IL.

Loop content... What would I look at paying if I wanted a shop to go
through
the tranny, replace all the seals and shift return spring? I am trying
to
decide whether this is worth it on my Eldo resto project. Any leads as
to
where to send it in the east. I am thinking of sending it west but I am
thinking that the cost will be high to ship.
