Hi Chris,
In Moto International's catalog they give the clutch cable length as 61" for the "police, drum-brake Eldo - no switch". Check out their catalog also for lengths of most throttle cables. It doesn't say how long the V11 Sport cables are, but a carbed Cal 1100 has 35 1/4" long ones. You can download the cat from their websitehttp://www.motointernational.com
You might check with Mark @ Moto Guzzi Classics also. I bet he's done one this way and knows just what works. Cheers,

Charlie.

Thanks Tom. Those are actually bicycle bars I used for the mock-up. I now
have a new set of apes thanks to Paul Linn. Only issue now is running long
enough cables. Anybody have a length measurements on a. police clutch cables
and b. V11 sport throttle cables?

Well my tonti riding friend, that is why K&N filters are designed to
withstand small children and old people - they wreck havoc on your
intake.
Now if I can just find that supercharger that someone posted...

PS this loop is for sale in CT

Yep,

I am sure that I will feel the air being sucked out of my apartment in
Manhattan when that engine ignites in Queens. Small babies and old
people

 beware.

Tom,

I have 40mm carbs on my project which can be seen in this picture:

I'm afraid the rest of the shots aren't that helpful because I have
the
carbs bagged. They are rubber mounted. Not sure about the adjusting
screws
(haven't had to tune them yet!) but I'll take a peek tonight. If I
can get a
digital camera I'll snap some more pics if you want.

Bought a pair of 40 mm round slide Dellortos for my Eldo off Ebay
and when
 I
got them I discovered they are set up for a wrong angle v-twin
(both sets
 of
adjusting screws are on the same side). Is this a something a
machine shop
can do, or do I need to find a specialist in carb work? Seems to
me it
should be fairly straight forward, but not sure. Reason for the
big carbs
 is
88mm sleeves and pistons and bigger valve heads. My goal is a nice
looking
bike like Freds and lots of power.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. TIA
Tom
