Interesting question. If I understand your situation correctly, the swingarm
pivot and hence the u-joint will now sit .375 closer to the tranny. So, the
question is, is there enough spline on the transmission so the the u-joint
can move freely without preloading the rear (output shaft) bearing on the
transmission as the swingarm moves up and down.
I have a Eldo with the u-joint out but I dont know how soon I could get it
back together without the rubber cover to see how much travel is left on the
spline.
I guess the biggest question really is: What is the location of the swingarm
pivot distance from the rear of the output shaft on the transmission on a
standard bike vs. yours.
