I've pretty much switched over to textile. My Leather jacket has to weigh 5
lbs, is not waterproof and from what I read doesn't offer a whole lot more
protection than the textile jackets. I've got two textile jackets. I wear
a Tourmaster Cortech jacket until it gets really hot and then I wear a Joe
Rocket Phoenix mesh jacket.
The Cortech has a zip out lining, has padding and is waterproof. The Joe
Rocket has lots of padding and is cool when riding in Texas summers.
