Hey Pete,
As long as you cleaned the pan when you were in there, which I'm sure you
did and change you oil often(I don't like to go more than 2,000miles), I
wouldn't worry about it,unless you have alot of time on your hands, and
another bike to ride along with curiosity that would kill your cat. You'll
know when oil isn't getting through, eventually :-) I think your on track
with leaving well enough alone, Fred may think otherwise:-)

Kevin
Thanks for the clear info on this sludge trap, I might have been thinkin I
didnt have one if I couldnt see it from just pulling the pan.
Hey, How serious is this sludge trap anyway? meaning, mine was sitting for
who knows how long and the pan bottom had thick goo covering it. I wonder
how mush oil is getting thru the sludge trap right now? At this point I
will leave well enough alone and keep this in mind if I have to get in
there.
Thanks again for the info
Pete
