Andy,

10mm is equal to 0.3937011 inches. A 10mm wrench is close to a 3/8
wrench also.

Ron-
thanks- that sounds like a good quick check! i just checked in
guzziology-
here is the ambo/eldo jet info
main- 145
pilot [idle] 45
needle V-5
needle jet- 265
slide-60
choke-80
idle mixture screw shaft type- long
idle mixture screw taper- short
also, he says that the 'flip top chokes' will NOT work on early vhb-29's
without modifications to the choke assemblys. the early type [ambo's and
early eldo's] can be identified by a lack of an o-ring near the top of
the
choke slide, where the cable goes through. mine do not have it, and i
wonder
if the bike is running with the chokes partly open [Guilly's bike]. 1
turn
out on the idle mixture screws seems to be in the ball-park, tho
[doesn't
it?]
with the eldo, i turn the mixture screw in 1/4 turn, wait a few secs.,
go another 1/4 turn, etc. until the idle starts to drop off, then the
same
process, coming back out until the highest idle is achieved. [AFTER the
bike
is good and warmed up]. repeat for the other side.
as an aside, anybody know how much a mm is? is it 1/8 in. or more
[less?]
gotta mill 1 millimeter from the slides on the sport. [slides are too
rich]
thanks,
andy

 Andy,
Look down into the carb, you can see the deeper slot on the side that
fits
on the manifold. The longer flange on the slide fits into the deeper
slot.
(This is my check-I'm sure everyone who's ever had one apart has their
own).
