I was a lucky sod and won a set of beautiful stainless steel All-Clad
pans. They rock for cooking but get looking scabby pretty fast unless
you use the recommended scouring powder called Barkeeper's friend.

It worked so well I got to thinking, "this would likely work great to
get off all that brake dust and rust and crap that's making my cases
look so horrible (it rains a lot here in Seattle and rusts my discs,
which then blows back onto the cases)."

Greg...thanks for the tip! I've got the Barkeeper's Friend sitting on the
counter next to the sink for the All-Clad cookware hanging next to the
stove; never though to use it on a motorcycle! I'm glad you're inventive,
or adventurous, crazy or whatever! ;-) It seems to work. :-)

I was going to try and stop at Moto International this coming Monday...guess
they follow the typical Tues-Sat motorcycle shop schedule...unfortunately,
so do I. :-( Now I'll look for an escape time during the week, head down on
the tail end of the commuter traffic, so my salivating, then head back to
catch the rest of the work day...shoot, with daylight savings time I can
work till darn near 7pm now!

Here's to the NorthWet; especially espresso!
