Rex and all,

Respectfully, I do not want to debate or catagorize any soldier's commitment
or sacrifice to his/her country. After posting my initial thoughts on
Tillman's death I considered how it might be misconstrued by others,
especially ones with relatives who are dealing with the war directly.
I could not agree with you (Rex) more, that there are tragedies on a daily
basis in that part of the world. And those involved, whom also had nothing
to gain by signing up, make as great a sacrifice as others. If my comments
led one to believe that I felt differently about Tillman, then I apologize.
I do not distinguish his sacrifice as separate from all the other service
personel who have answered the call; and from what I have read about Pat
Tillman, he would agree that his sacrifice was/is no different than the
next soldiers.
Rex, I would never, never diminish your son's, or any other service
person's, commitment and sacrifice to our country. I thank him for it,and
wish him well in his recovery.
Again, I apologize if I was misunderstood.
Rex, any comments or futher discussion send me off list. Thanks.
