Yes there should be a pin threaded into that locator hole. I'm pretty
sure I've got one I can get the dimensions off of. There should be
contact between the generator and the engine case cradle. I have a shim
of steel that is bent so that it is 'captive' there on top of the cradle
that has a hole for the pin in it and makes up the difference. I have no
idea why there is this gap on some blocks (two of the three I have) and
not others???

I have seen some posts mentioning a locating pin? My generator has a
threaded hole on the bottom side of the generator, where it looks to
mate up to the "cradle". Is there supposed to be a pin in the generator
to sit in the hole in the cradle? If it is supposed to be there, what is

a good replacement, what is the correct thread/bolt size for this hole?
Is the generator supposed to physically come in contact with the cradle?

Should I put sometype of rubber gasket between the metal?

Thanks
