good idea charlie I might give that a try after I talk to Moto International, although that won't happen 'til at least Mon. since they're closed for the holidays.

Hi Steve,
You could use the round pin/barrel from the old cable - just use a
Dremel/die grinder/hacksaw to cut a slot on the side wide enough to slip
it off the cable. I've seen cables with the pin/barrel as a separate
removable piece, but the think the Eldo cable should have it built on.
Might be best though to wait and talk with MI about the cable - maybe it
is defective. Cheers,
